DATABASE ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

The Oracle Apps DBA will be responsible for installing, designing, configuring, documenting, delivering, and supporting the databases and application servers of several Oracle Applications.  The Oracle Apps DBA will work closely with: Architects, Development and Integration Leads, Core DBAs, OEM Administrators, Hardware Engineers, External Integrators (consultants), and a mix of On-Off Shore Developers.  The Apps DBA is responsible for ensuring that the middleware & database technologies are delivered successfully in scope and on time.

 

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Creates and maintains all databases used for development, testing, and education and production usage. Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases

Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances

Install new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools and any other tools that access the Oracle database.

Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database

Controls migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle

Configure / add new services as necessary.

Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases.

Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.

Puts standards in place to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance; reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards.

 

 

Background Specification

  1. Qualification: University degree in Computer discipline, Information Technology or equivalent
  2. Experience: over 4 years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
  3. Knowledge:
  • Experience building, patching and supporting Oracle 11g databases (preferably 11gR2), and migrating existing production databases to Oracle 11gR2.
  • Experienced deploying Oracle technologies (e.g. Active Data Guard, ASM, OEM/Grid, RMAN, Oracle Streams / Golden Gate)) in mission critical highly available production environments.
  • Experience in ongoing support of production database environment – space projection and reclamation, SQL performance tuning of existing applications, etc.
  • Experience in Performance Load Testing of Oracle OLTP Databases - SQL tuning and or PL/SQL debugging/tuning
  • Experience implementing and deploying Oracle Enterprise Management (OEM) grid control.
  • Detailed in-depth Knowledge of Oracle Architecture, Framework, Technical Stack, Data Dictionary and DBMS Packages.

  • Strong team work and problem handling skill is required
  • An ability to be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a wide range of people at all levels including communicating complex technical issues
  • Organized, deadline management in fast-paced working environment

  • Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for PVFC’s systems.
  • Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department.
  • Performs full supervision of System Administrator staff

 

 

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • To ensure the smooth running of the server environment, to ensure that backup securities are completed satisfactorily, monitor the performance of the hardware, interrogate daily logs for errors and troubleshoot errors and faults as appropriate.
  • Lead and coordinate the troubleshooting process
  • To work with and cover as required others in the Infrastructure team on maintaining the network and the data integrity.
  • Find opportunities for further optimize the IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Back up for System Administrators in critical technology areas.
  • Review and verification of technical documents created by the BA team.
  • Training and guidance on server hardware and operating software to other IT team, as necessary.

 

 

Background Specification

IT SECURITY OFFICER

The job holder needs to ensure that business operations comply with State Bank of Vietnam, regional offices and internal requirements on Information Technology Security policies and standards. Job holder takes part in the process of incident and problem management procedure, follow up and monitor the progress of remediation with other business departments and sections

 

 

 

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Understand and carry out IT security plans and policies.
  • Understand strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach.
  • Coordinate and support periodic assessments, evaluations, quality reviews, periodic reports and implementations of IT security requirement from stakeholders.
  • Develop or implement open-source/third-party tools to assist in detection, prevention and analysis of security threats.
  • Train and establish awareness to the workforce on IT security standards, policies and best practices.
  • Implement protections.
  • Installation and use of firewalls, data encryption and other security products and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic network scans to find any vulnerability.
  • Conduct penetration testing, simulating an attack on the system to find exploitable weaknesses.
  • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, through the use of software that detects intrusions and anomalous system behavior.
  • Identify and report key IT security risks to line manager.
  • Investigate security breaches.
  • Take part in incident response, including steps to minimize the impact and then conducting a technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage.

1.    Education Background 

-       University graduated in IT

-       Certification in IT security such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is a plus

2.    Minimum Experience

-       2+ years of experience in information security of financial service industry

-       Intermediate knowledge on computer networks, window operating systems, Unix/Linux operating systems, software development life cycle.

-       Intermediate knowledge in using security software and appliance: anti-virus, data loss prevention, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering,

The role requires the leadership and technical skills to manage the delivery of IT internal developed application’s services for the company.

To assist the Head of IT Business Solution in managing the Company’s IT internal developed applications and its operations to ensure the entire company’s IT environment and business applications can function properly and securely at all times.

 

 

 

 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for analysis and planning for internal developed applications.
  • To communicate internally with other IT functions and other departments to understand and support user’s requirements.
  • To communicate externally with vendors, contractors, consultants, associations and government agencies for negotiation and acquiring technical systems, equipments, consultancy and services
  • Enhance systems availability through Quality Assurance process, keeping programming errors to a minimum.
