Key accountabilities


The job holder needs to handle underwriting process by face-to-face/tele interviews with customers, ensure the applications and attached documents to comply with Company Credit Policy and recommend to Branch Manager for final approval/decision. He/she needs to maintain the assigned portfolio to meet KPIs and offer best customer service to customers. Other main accountabilities include but not be limited to:


Arranging face-to-face or tele-interviews with customers – Setting appointments with assigned customers, guiding customers what need to be prepared for a productive interview. Verifying the documents against the original ones to ensure the requested documents are in line with company credit policy;


Budget analysis process and underwriting – Performing budget analysis with customers to ensure all related factors have been taken into account and comply with Company Credit Policy. Using common sense and owned experience to find out the facts that could help preventing frauds…


Customer service – Ensuring all procedures, documents are well prepared for customer to sign once the application is approved. Reminding them of their key responsibilities and well-handled all related questions from customers…


Maintaining customer portfolio – Managing whole portfolio of customers who have been interviewed by this job holder and approved afterward. Ensuring all related KPIs are met efficiently and timely.


As the business growth and maturity, he/she could be promoted to take bigger scope of work within the branch or in other Credit functions such as Credit Operations or relevant divisions…



Background Specification


The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skill sets:

- University Graduated, Finance/ Accounting or Banking major preferred.

- Min 3 years of experience in finance/ banking industry or customer service position.

- Finance, banking knowledge preferred

- Competencies: Interpersonal, teamwork, negotiation, strong business acumen

- Practical working experience in customer service and performance oriented

- Ability to work independently and under high pressure

Job Summary


To manage the operation and performance of HCM-based ROs and KYC Officers based at Southern SIP (Service Introduction Point) provinces (Binh Duong, Can Tho, Dong Nai and Vung Tau); customer service and cross-functional cooperation/ coordination.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Credit process – To ensure underwriting & KYC operations smoothly and professionally at HCM (Pico building) and assigned SIPs (team size may be changed overtime). Maintain highest integrity in underwriting and operating credit process
  2. Customer service quality – To ensure the best quality of customer service wherever customers are met & serviced. To promote Customer First culture.
  3. Expense control – Responsible for expense reports and track expenses in line with cost-to-income ratio KPI.
  4. Risk management - Responsible for managing possible risks that may arise from daily operation. To implement all necessary actions in order to prevent, identify and escalate all frauds of the team both internally and externally.
  5. Analysis and Report – Responsible for analysis and report of team performance to ensure that team performance recorded, analyzed and reported to Department Head on a regular basis with accuracy and in time manner, along with comments and recommendations.
  6. Ad hoc – To participate in ad hoc projects; lead innovations at workplace (incl. constantly streamlining work processes, esp. DTH-related ones.).
  7. Training/ Coaching – To hire/ train/coach staff (underwriter, admin) and foster a learning/ innovating culture & team spirit. Develop can-do mentaility in team. To lead team by example.

Job Specification / Possible Profile

1. Education Background : University Graduate, Business Administration, Banking & Finance is preferred

2. Minimum Experience    : Min 7 years of Banking & Finance or relevant industry

3. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge , Skill, Abilities)

  • Basic knowledge : Underwriting, customer services in consumer finance sector            
  • Competencies : Interpersonal, Leadership, Business Management
  • Computer skill : Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Languages capability : Solid command of spoken and written English and Vietnamese     

4. Other (if any ) :

  • Practical working experience in a business driven culture and customer service oriented atmosphere.
  • Experience in managing a team with both field force local staff and office staff.
  • Leadership in both team environment and individual.
  • Business management skill.
  • Interpersonal Communication skill.
  • Teamwork spirit motivation skill.
  • Abe to conduct regular (short but incl. overnight stay) business trips as required to HCMC & neighboring provinces (incl. but not limited to Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Can Tho).
